The easiest thing to do is to travel light and not worry about something in your luggage breaking or shattering. But it is often necessary to take fragile items with you on a trip. How to pack them properly.
How to pack small souvenirs
When folding the suitcase, distribute things correctly: everything dense and heavy put on top, bottom and sides, and "stuffing" is made of soft things, between which we place glass magnets and clay figurines, necessarily isolated from each other.
The most fragile things - toys, porcelain figurines - are better to transport in a dense shell. Wrap them in socks, gloves, sweaters, and then put them in shoes or in a glasses case.
Use brochures with tight covers if your suitcase is empty of shoes or boxes; you can always find them at hotels. You can ask the receptionist for it. Wrap each item in a T-shirt, place a promotional leaflet on top, and tape the construction.
How not to break all the dishes
A strong plastic bottle makes a great case for shot glasses or crystal glasses; just cut off one end, insert the shot glass, and cover any spaces with clothing.
Try requesting a few of the soft plastic lunch boxes in the kitchen for your cups and saucers. These boxes are typically used in hotel restaurants for dry rations.
Can I carry bottles in my suitcase?
Nowadays, you have no choice except to bring your luggage home with all liquids in containers larger than 100 milliliters. You'll have to put in a lot of effort if you don't want anything floating in oil or alcohol.
The "sandwich" method is highly effective: place the bottle inside a plastic bag, cover it with another bag, and tie a scarf around it. This is how you stack the design in the middle of the bag.
Bring a pack of trash bags on your trip because bags are frequently hard to come by. They are quite light, but they are very useful.
Unsurprisingly, diapers are the ideal solution for carrying bottles because they will quickly absorb all the liquid, even in the event that the bottle breaks.
How to bring home exotic fruits
You can usually take them with you in the cabin. But if you don't have room in your hand luggage, try to put them in your suitcase.
Start packing while still in the store. Often exotic fruits are sold in boxes with plastic cells: ask for such a box together with liners, tightly stack the tasty cargo in it. To prevent the juice from leaking and spoiling things, put the box in a bag or wrap it in food film before putting it in your suitcase. Create a tight frame of other things around it.
How not to break appliances in your luggage
It is advisable to pack all of your equipment in hand luggage as it is susceptible to theft as well as breakage. If this isn't feasible, however, place all of the batteries and chargers in a different cosmetic bag or organizer to avoid having to spend a lot of time later looking through the entire suitcase for them. Place your pocketbook closest to the hard suitcase corners and among soft items for the best protection.
Cameras and other equipment should be transported in dense enclosures; place them in a cardboard or foam box, a photo bag, or the suitcase itself. There ought to be an abundance of soft objects nearby.
Vacuum cleaners, TVs, and washing machines should all be carried in factory boxes with cardboard or foam shock absorbers instead of fitting into a travel bag. Don't be lazy and visit a big store if you intend to transfer any used items; you'll discover several containers that work well. Remember to mark the container as fragile items on both sides!
